C&G Building Contractors have started clearing a site for a new residential development at Evelegh Road in Farlington, Portsmouth. Amendments to the existing design are currently being finalised with the architect and the local planning department. This sought after location on Portsdown Hill provides a South facing panoramic vista across both Portsmouth Harbour and Langstone Harbour which are to be harnessed within the design. Works on site are anticipated to complete in early summer 2019.

C&G have started work on a new build home for a private developer in Havant, Hampshire. The two bedroom end-of-terrace house will provide comfortable family accommodation with the advantage of a good size garden. Due to the location of the project C&G have had to take a sympathetic approach to the construction process given the proximity of the neighbouring properties. The project is expected to complete in October 2018 ready for sale on the open market.

Works are due to be undertaken over a 4-week period which include roofing, insulation, dry-lining and a full overhaul and upgrade of the existing electrical systems.

Works have now been completed at Home Farm in Selsey. The ten-unit development is made up of a mixture of character oak framed barns and modern era extensions making a quadrangle of units sited around a central courtyard. The existing buildings were completely gutted and redesigned to accommodate the ten new units consisting of both one and two bedroom modern apartments. Although the fixtures and fittings were mirrored throughout, no two units were the same. Each unit was individually designed taking into account the end user. Some of the units incorporated vaulted ceilings providing extra height and space whilst also showing off the original oak beams. The units were delivered to the client ready for rental on the open market. C&G have completed the refurbishment of INEOS Automotive’s new Research and Development Centre at one of their Lyndhurst sites in Hampshire. Once a dilapidated cattle shed the building has been transformed to provide INEOS with a high-end facility for ongoing company projects. The project brief required the redevelopment of the site to include full contractor M&E design. Having successfully completed a variety of projects for the Langmead Group, C&G have been appointed to undertake a multi-unit refurbishment. Set amongst the farming land just outside the village of Selsey in West Sussex, the Home Farm site incorporates a typical Sussex style quadrangle of flint and brick buildings with a mixture of  slate and clay tile roofs. The new 1 and 2-bedroom self-contained units will each have a bathroom with an open plan kitchen and lounge area providing modern living accommodation with on site parking. Works on site are due to complete in Spring 2018.
